There are hundreds of examples in which you’ll encounter a not-so-straight line in a construction drawing: a sidewalk, a courtyard, an archway and so on. And just like all the other straight items in your drawings, sometimes you need measurements, such as the length or perimeter of an arched road, or the area or volume of a curved element such as a pool.
Luckily, Bluebeam’s takeoff tools recognize that not every building is constructed exclusively with straight lines. Revu’s takeoff tools (updated in version 7) allow users to measure arcs and curves. In fact, we’ve just posted a new advanced tutorial on our support site that explains how to use Bluebeam’s takeoff tools for curved and lineal measurements. Check it out! And remember, to keep on PDF’ing!
