Bluebeam’s Photos from Greenbuild 2010

November 24, 2010

Wow, what a trade show! Last week Team Bluebeam was in Chicago spreading our “Paperless is Green” message at Greenbuild and demonstrating how Bluebeam PDF Revu helps project teams blast paper to PDF. I’ll post a more in-depth recap next week, but for now I thought you would enjoy these photos from the show:

Our Mighty Bluebeam themed booth ready for the Expo Hall to open!

Greenbuild attendees waiting to see the exhibits.

Lots of greenbuilders interested in going paperless.

The World’s Greatest Paper Eliminator makes friends everywhere he goes.

Have a great holiday everyone, and remember to keep on PDFin’!

Tell Fellow Green Builders that Paperless is Green!

November 10, 2010

Next week Bluebeam is heading to the 2010 Greenbuild Conference and Expo in Chicago, and we’ve got some good times planned in our booth, #273. This year at Greenbuild, we’re reaching out to you to help spread the word that “Paperless is Green.”

You see, even though projects aren’t currently awarded green points for going paperless, we believe that eliminating unnecessary paper usage is something to celebrate! So, we’ve launched a new microsite – – where architects, engineers and contractors can read and share paperless success stories. Check out this video for a glimpse of what you’ll see on this site:

Even better – we’ve teamed up with our friends at Motion Computing to offer a special prize pack for sharing paperless stories. Stop by Bluebeam Software’s booth #273 at Greenbuild to tell us your paperless story and record a quick, YouTube style video. You’ll be automatically entered into a contest for a chance to win a cool Motion Tablet PC and seat of Bluebeam PDF Revu.

Not going to Greenbuild? Not a problem. Go to and type out your story, or make your own video and send us the link. Let me know if you have any questions, and remember to keep on PDFin’!

Learn Bluebeam’s tips for going paperless during a special Construct Canada educational session

November 1, 2010

If you’re attending Construct Canada this year December 1st – 3rd in Toronto, you’re in for a special treat. Our very own Sasha Reed, Director of Account Services, will be presenting an educational session titled “Taking project workflows digital: Tips, tricks and tech for saving time and reducing costs on your next project.”

I asked Sasha if she could give us a little preview about what attendees can expect, and here’s what she told me:

  1. Get ready to take PDF to a whole new level – this session will go over how firms can leverage the universal PDF file format for entire project workflows such as punch, submittals, and RFIs. Sasha will be delving into some case study examples, too, which will demonstrate how leading AEC firms are integrating PDF into their systems.
  2. Be ready for some hands-on learning – one of the main focuses of this session will be how to match up users with the right hardware to enable them to go paperless. I hear there will be some cool gear onsite to test out, too!
  3. Come prepared to participate – got a question? Make sure to ask. Have a success story of your own? Share it! Sasha wants this to be a fun, interactive discussion where attendees can share paperless project knowledge and experiences.

“Taking project workflows digital” is being held Thursday, December 2nd from 2:30pm to 4pm EST. If you haven’t already done so, register now for the conference and session. And remember, to keep on PDFin’!
