The Global RallyCross racing season is in full gear, and Bluebeam’s new rally car driver – Toomas “Topi” Heikkinen – is already making a name for himself on the track.
Topi, a young, up and coming rally racer from Finland, showed off his fierce driving skills at the RallyCross season opener at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 26th in Charlotte, NC. He was the third to cross the finish line – an impressive feat for his GRC debut. However, Topi’s gritty moves and aggressive driving earned him a black flag, resulting in a 10th place overall finish. While Topi didn’t make the podium, he definitely earned a name for himself, letting his RallyCross competitors know that he is a force to be reckoned with.
If you missed the race, check out this highlight video on ESPN.com, or read this race overview. Topi’s next shot at the podium will be June 9th at the Texas Motor Speedway. Until then, follow Topi on Facebook to stay up to date with his quest for a first place finish. And remember, to keep on PDFin’.
