Just in Time for the Holidays: Bluebeam Action Figures?

December 24, 2012

If you have ever attended one of our user conferences, whether it be the Bluebeam eXtreme Conference or the International Rally Conference, you have probably encountered our dynamic duo of lead Bluebeam engineers sharing their top Tips & Tricks for using Revu. Well, we have always seen them as our own personal super heroes because of their ability to make Revu do just about anything our users need.

So, we made their superhero status “official” by working with one of our users, Viet (who just so happens to make custom toys and previously created a Mighty Bluebeam action figure for us). You got to love the attention to detail! Unfortunately, these one-of-a-kind action figures won’t be invading your local toy shop any time soon.

Happy Holidays, and remember to keep on PDFin’.

Skanska and Bluebeam Announce Global Purchasing Agreement

December 20, 2012

We have some exciting news to share! Recently, we entered into a global purchasing agreement with Skanska, one of the world’s largest international project development and construction groups.  Through this partnership, Skanska teams around the world now have access to Bluebeam Revu for digital project communication and collaboration. In fact, several of Skanka’s project teams have already started using Revu, including its team in Stockholm, Sweden where they are working on the firm’s largest project to date, the New Karolinska Solna (NKS) University Hospital.

Hoar Construction Combines the Power of Revu and BIM to Better Communicate Building Challenges

December 14, 2012

There’s nothing better than sharing customer stories about their Revu experience, and recently our friends over at Hoar Construction spoke to us about what a difference Revu has made for them. During the building of the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the Hoar team has been leveraging BIM for early detection of building issues, and using Revu to communicate challenges and resolutions faster.

Customize, customize, customize! We like the sound of that word at Bluebeam, and are happy to announce that we have created two new customized tools sets for Revu featuring a variety of Fire & Life Safety and Security & CCTV markup symbols.

Both are packed full of markups that can easily be placed on drawings and customized by changing the color, fill, opacity or line type to fit your team’s communication style. Upload them to your Tool Chest™ (and many other tool sets) for free here.

December 3, 2012

In November, the Bluebeam team ventured to San Francisco for Greenbuild 2012! As a forward-thinking city with green leanings, San Francisco was an ideal host city, making Greenbuild more high-energy and exciting than ever before. Here are shots of some of our favorite show moments:
