Event Recap: The 2013 Bluebeam International Rally Conference

September 24, 2013

On Friday, September 13th, we headed to Stockholm, Sweden for the 2013 International Rally Conference (IRC). It was so exciting to be joined by Bluebeam users from Sweden and all over the world, including the Netherlands, Norway, United Kingdom, and even Australia. It was truly an international experience!

Throughout the morning, users attended various sessions on hot Bluebeam topics including mobility, creating dynamic document sets, APD (short for a Swedish word meaning workplace disposition plan), and measurements and estimation.

Then Bluebeam’s President and CEO, Richard Lee, took the stage to deliver a keynote focusing on the new features included in Bluebeam Revu 11.0, 11.5 and Revu iPad 2.0.

After a lunch break, the day continued with informative customer case study presentations from Skanska, Peab, Briab, and US-based Mortenson Construction.

The day wrapped up with a cocktail reception, where attendees had an opportunity to mingle and network with peers and Bluebeam staff.

Bluebeam’s Rallycross driver and 2013 Global Rallycross points leader, Toomas “Topi” Heikkinen, even stopped by to sign autographs and take photos.

The following day, attendees participated in an adrenaline-charged day of rally racing at Högsta race track, just 20 minutes outside of Stockholm’s city center. The day consisted of training stations, lunch, and timed trials to become the 2013 Bluebeam Rally Champion.

It was a fantastic way to end an incredible weekend of learning and fun. If you missed the event but want to join in on future festivities, sign up for the Bluebeam Insider email list to stay up-to-date on upcoming Bluebeam events.
