Favorite Feature Friday – How Can I Magically Remove All Hidden Viewports That Distort Calibration?

Have you ever tried to take measurements in Revu and noticed that they didn’t match your calibrated scale, or resulted in the wrong calibration? If so, the file you are working with may have Viewports within it that are calibrated to a different scale or contains “untitled” Viewports that can corrupt the measurement calibration. These errant Viewports may have been by-products of the original drawing that were transferred over during creation of the PDF.

We created a “Clear All” button in Revu that magically removes all of these Viewports so you can start fresh. Click on the Measurement tab in Revu and look for the Viewports section. If you see any in the list that are unnamed, unknown or labeled “untitled,” click the Clear All button just below the Viewports list. Then, just like Tangina in Poltergeist, you can declare, “This list is clean.”

Until next time,
