Favorite Feature Friday – How Can I Move My Bluebeam License to Another Computer?

by

If you’ve been thinking about getting a new computer but want to be sure you can transfer your existing copy of Revu over to it, here’s a tip on how to easily make that happen.

You can move your license to your shiny new machine using Revu’s Unregister and Register buttons. But first, be sure you have your serial number and product key handy. If you’re like me and have no idea whatsoever where you keep your product key (or your car keys*), don’t worry. Just contact us at registration@bluebeam.com and ask to have your original License Certificate sent to you. Be sure to include the serial number, version number, your name, company name, favorite food, email address and a phone number where you can be reached. Just kidding about the favorite food, although feel free to share that if you like!

Before moving the license, you may want to back up and move your Revu settings and stamps. Once that’s sorted, just follow these simple steps:

1. On your new computer, open Bluebeam Revu and go to the
   Help menu.

2. Click the Unregister button in the Command bar.

3. Enter in your serial number and product key and then click OK.

And Bob’s your uncle! Note that Bluebeam Revu 9.5 and earlier requires using Bluebeam Administrator to unregister your software. Check out this article for a more detailed description of this process.

*We can’t actually guarantee we’ll find your car keys for you, but we’ll do our best. 🙂
