Revu 20.1 has been released. Included in the notable update following the August release of Revu 20 are several enhancements designed to allow the construction industry to build better through instant teamwork, which has become ever more paramount in today’s world of remote collaboration.
We’re outlining some of the most significant additions and enhancements that are meant to simplify tasks, reduce pesky re-work and keep users’ time spent on the most meaningful and fulfilling aspects of their work.
Improved SharePoint Integration
Great for: Larger companies or complex projects with many documents to collaborate on
With the new and improved integration with Microsoft SharePoint, construction professionals are now able to safely authenticate Revu and open documents stored in a SharePoint folder from any browser.

Studio Improvements
Great for: Users working with collaborators no longer in the project
Studio Administrators are now able to securely reassign ownership of Markups when a collaborator leaves a Session permanently. This will save users’ time and reduce confusion.
Additionally, new owners will receive an email alerting them of their new status, with ownership changes noted in the Session record and included in summaries and reports.

Markup Enhancements
Great for: All users – but especially those interested in taking advantage of visual indicators to enhance markupcommunication
A visual indicator will now appear on markups that have replies in the Markups List, allowing users to be aware of comments that require their attention. Clicking this icon will also take users directly to replies in the Markups List; users can also hover over the icon to see a preview of the reply.
Users are also now able to easily select a page range and quickly apply their markups, eliminating the time-consuming need to manually copy and paste a markup to pages one at a time.

Real-Time Measurements
Great for: Estimators – particularly those looking for a way to view measurement values in real-time
Real-time measurement values are now shown in a small tool tip-style table in the lower-right corner of the drawing as users place measurements. Real-time measurement values are available now for angles, radius, perimeter, circumference, count and volume.

New Plugins
Great for: All users
The Revu 20.1 release includes added support for SolidWorks 2021. Also, PDFs generated using Batch PDF function in the Microsoft Word plugin can now automatically generate bookmarks based on names of files in the batch. Finally, bookmark configurations can now be saved in the ACAD plugin.
