Det kan verka extremt men direktivet \u00f6verensst\u00e4mmer med delstatens \u00f6vergripande intention att \u00f6ka produktionen av f\u00f6rnybar energi.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Som USA:s st\u00f6rsta producent av solenergi \u00e4r Kalifornien ledande p\u00e5 marknaden f\u00f6r f\u00f6rnybar energi. Cirka 20&nbsp;% av Kaliforniens el produceras med solenergi och andelen v\u00e4xer varje \u00e5r tack vare ambiti\u00f6sa lagar. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.ca.gov\/sb100\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SB 100-mandatet<\/a> fr\u00e5n 2018 till exempel, som s\u00e4ger att delstaten senast \u00e5r 2030 m\u00e5ste ha \u00f6verg\u00e5tt till enbart f\u00f6rnybara energik\u00e4llor.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Multinationella energibolag som BP har noterat detta. Det Londonbaserade olje- och gasf\u00f6retaget \u00e4r i f\u00e4rd med att styra om sin globala strategi och har som m\u00e5l att bli en \u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2020\/08\/bp-green-renewable-energy-investment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">kraftfull akt\u00f6r inom f\u00f6rnybar energi<\/a>\u201d samt att \u00f6ka sin produktion av f\u00f6rnybar infrastruktur.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00f6retag som BP, som traditionellt investerat stort i raffinaderier och andra oljeproducerande anl\u00e4ggningar, m\u00e5ste nu ta h\u00e4nsyn till allm\u00e4nhetens \u00f6kande medvetenhet kring klimatf\u00f6r\u00e4ndringarna och information om att <a href=\"https:\/\/energybulletin.org\/peak-oil-reference\/peak-oil-data\/oil-depletion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">v\u00e4rldens oljedep\u00e5er h\u00e5ller p\u00e5 att sina<\/a>. De har d\u00e4rf\u00f6r b\u00f6rjat v\u00e4xla \u00f6ver sina investeringar till den allt mer l\u00f6nsamma solenergibranschen, n\u00e5got som kan ses i ambiti\u00f6sa nya byggnadsarbeten som t.ex. projektet Wildflower.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dDet g\u00e5r knappast att \u00f6verdriva de l\u00e5ngtg\u00e5ende f\u00f6rdelarna fr\u00e5n f\u00f6rnybar energi, och i synnerhet d\u00e5 solenergi, med avseende p\u00e5 m\u00e4nniskors h\u00e4lsa, p\u00e5 milj\u00f6n och f\u00f6r ekonomin\u201d, s\u00e4ger Alyssa Edwards, BP:s Vice President of Environmental Affairs and Government Relations. \u201dSolenergin spelar en avg\u00f6rande roll i kampen mot klimatf\u00f6r\u00e4ndringarna genom att tillf\u00f6ra ett koldioxidfritt alternativ till v\u00e5r energimix.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c4ven om intresset f\u00f6r olika f\u00f6rnybara energil\u00f6sningar \u00f6kar, bland annat f\u00f6r havsbaserad <a href=\"https:\/\/futurism.com\/the-byte\/uk-pledges-100-percent-residential-power-wind-turbines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vindkraft<\/a> och <a href=\"https:\/\/www.renewableenergyworld.com\/2020\/10\/07\/blockchain-powered-microgrid-pilots-renewables-trading-in-port-of-rotterdam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mikron\u00e4t<\/a>, s\u00e5 forts\u00e4tter solenergin att vara popul\u00e4r eftersom anl\u00e4ggningarna \u00e4r enkla att bygga och kostnaderna \u00e4r relativt l\u00e5ga.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dIdag \u00e4r solenergi ett av de mest ekonomiska alternativen n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller att skapa nya energik\u00e4llor\u201d, s\u00e4ger Alyssa. \u201dProduktionskostnaden f\u00f6r solenergi ligger nu mellan 16 och 35 dollar\/MWh (130\u2013290 kr\/MWh), vilket g\u00f6r det konkurrenskraftigt. Den l\u00e4gre kostnaden har medf\u00f6rt att andelen solenergi i USA:s totala energiproduktion har vuxit, fr\u00e5n 0,1&nbsp;% \u00e5r 2010 till n\u00e4stan 3&nbsp;% \u00e5r 2020.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Om att bygga en framtid med solenergi&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspirationen till att bygga pollinat\u00f6rv\u00e4nliga solkraftsparker kom fr\u00e5n en \u00f6nskan om att kunna producera energi p\u00e5 ett s\u00e4tt som inte bara minskar koldioxidutsl\u00e4ppen, utan ocks\u00e5 aktivt medverkar till en sundare milj\u00f6 med mer biologisk m\u00e5ngfald.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dGrunden till solenergins bidrag till global h\u00e5llbarhet \u00e4r f\u00f6rm\u00e5gan att producera ren och billig el\u201d, s\u00e4ger Alyssa. \u201dVi menar att solenergin dessutom kan utvecklas p\u00e5 ett verkligt h\u00e5llbart s\u00e4tt med hj\u00e4lp av l\u00e5ngsiktig markf\u00f6rvaltning som i slut\u00e4nden gynnar den biologiska m\u00e5ngfalden.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det var detta koncept som inspirerade till Lightsource, en av Europas st\u00f6rsta utvecklare av solenergi. BP har investerat i f\u00f6retaget \u2013 2019 blev man h\u00e4lften\u00e4gare \u2013 och under den tiden har man vuxit fr\u00e5n fem till tretton l\u00e4nder, d\u00e4ribland USA.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Projektet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lightsourcebp.com\/us\/2020\/09\/construction-for-california-solar-farm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wildflower<\/a> \u00e4r den f\u00f6rsta satsningen som Lightsource g\u00f6r i Kalifornien. \u201d\u00c5r 2018 tecknade vi ett energiavtal med Sacramento Municipal Utilities Division, ett av de st\u00f6rsta offentligt \u00e4gda elbolagen i USA\u201d, s\u00e4ger Alyssa. \u201dVi har \u00e5tagit oss att finansiera, bygga och driva en solkraftspark som producerar 16,5&nbsp;MW i SMUD:s serviceomr\u00e5de i Sacramento County, Kalifornien.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00f6r Alyssa Edwards \u00e4r projektet Wildflower i Rio Linda, som ligger cirka 15 km norr om Sacramento, ett bra exempel p\u00e5 den roll stora oljebolag kan spela f\u00f6r att skapa en mer h\u00e5llbar framtid. \u201dJag har alltid menat att de stora oljebolagen, med sina resurser och sin infrastruktur, beh\u00f6vs f\u00f6r att p\u00e5skynda \u00f6verg\u00e5ngen till l\u00e5ga koldioxidutsl\u00e4pp\u201d, s\u00e4ger hon.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Skydd f\u00f6r pollinat\u00f6rer&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u00e5 Lightsource nu bygger en ny solkraftspark prioriteras \u00e4ven milj\u00f6n f\u00f6r de vilda pollinat\u00f6rerna. \u201dLightsource har byggt solkraftsparker med pollinat\u00f6rhabitat och biodling under ett decennium i Storbritannien. Vi producerar till och med egen honung fr\u00e5n v\u00e5ra solkraftsparker\u201d, s\u00e4ger Alyssa. \u201dVi vet att marken inom och runt solkraftsparker kan f\u00f6rvaltas p\u00e5 ett s\u00e4tt som ger ett positivt bidrag till milj\u00f6n. Det kan handla om allt fr\u00e5n betande f\u00e5r till att skapa habitat f\u00f6r pollinat\u00f6rer och andra vilda djur.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alyssa Edwards anser att detta arbete \u00e4r en viktig del av ett mer holistiskt syns\u00e4tt p\u00e5 produktionen av solenergi. \u201dMed tanke p\u00e5 att v\u00e4xtgifter och brist p\u00e5 habitat har lett till en avsev\u00e4rd minskning av pollinat\u00f6rer anser vi att det \u00e4r oerh\u00f6rt viktigt f\u00f6r Wildflower och andra projekt i USA att, d\u00e4r det \u00e4r m\u00f6jligt, bedriva en l\u00e5ngsiktig markf\u00f6rvaltning genom att etablera och underh\u00e5lla inf\u00f6dd markvegetation som gynnar olika arter av pollinat\u00f6rer&#8221;, s\u00e4ger hon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote is-style-solid-color\"><blockquote class=\"has-text-color has-white-color\"><p>&#8221;Den f\u00f6rnybara energins, i synnerhet solenergins, l\u00e5ngtg\u00e5ende f\u00f6rdelar f\u00f6r h\u00e4lsa, milj\u00f6 och ekonomi kan inte betonas nog. Det p\u00e5minner p\u00e5 s\u00e4tt och vis om att plantera i sin egen tr\u00e4dg\u00e5rd, bara i mycket st\u00f6rre skala.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller valet av v\u00e4xter ber\u00e4ttar Alyssa att f\u00f6retaget planerar med tanke p\u00e5 anv\u00e4ndning \u00e5ret runt.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dF\u00f6r att gynna pollinat\u00f6rerna s\u00e5 mycket som m\u00f6jligt kommer b\u00e5de annuella och perenna v\u00e4xter att planteras vid Wildflower, d\u00e4r olika grupper av v\u00e4xter blommar vid olika tider p\u00e5 \u00e5ret\u201d, s\u00e4ger hon. \u201dLikartade v\u00e4xter planteras tillsammans, i \u2019celler\u2019 (alla siden\u00f6rtsarter tillsammans, alla v\u00e5rblommande ett\u00e5riga v\u00e4xter tillsammans, alla sommarblommande fler\u00e5riga v\u00e4xter tillsammans). Detta g\u00f6rs f\u00f6r att underl\u00e4tta sk\u00f6tseln av varje v\u00e4xtgrupp samt f\u00f6r att ge pollinat\u00f6rerna habitat av h\u00f6gre v\u00e4rde.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00d6kningen av f\u00f6rnybara energik\u00e4llor&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Alyssa ber\u00e4ttar att skapandet av fler anl\u00e4ggningar f\u00f6r f\u00f6rnybar energi ut\u00f6ver projektet Wildflower \u00e4r en viktig del av BP:s kontinuerliga strategi n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller att minska hela bolagets koldioxidutsl\u00e4pp.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dKlimatf\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar, billig och ren energi samt f\u00f6rlust av biologisk m\u00e5ngfald \u00e4r n\u00e5gra av de komplicerade och inb\u00f6rdes sammankopplade globala fr\u00e5gor vi m\u00e5ste ta itu med idag\u201d, s\u00e4ger hon. \u201dDessa fr\u00e5gor har allvarliga konsekvenser som direkt p\u00e5verkar milj\u00f6n samt m\u00e4nniskors liv och f\u00f6rs\u00f6rjning.
