Trion tog ist\u00e4llet examen fr\u00e5n f\u00f6rsvarets elitprogram Talpiot f\u00f6r blivande forskare och teknikledare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Efter avslutad v\u00e4rnplikt visste de tre att de ville s\u00e4tta sina kunskaper i arbete genom att starta ett f\u00f6retag. De skulle anv\u00e4nda en del av de teknologier som de hade l\u00e4rt sig inom milit\u00e4ren f\u00f6r att g\u00f6ra n\u00e5gon bransch mer effektiv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Problemet var bara att de inte visste vilken bransch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Efter att ha unders\u00f6kt f\u00f6retagslandskapet riktade de snart in sig p\u00e5 den artificiella intelligensens (AI) roll i byggbranschen \u2013 en bransch som de omedelbart blev f\u00f6rtjusta i. De st\u00e4llde fr\u00e5gor om vilka saker som \u201dh\u00f6ll dem vakna p\u00e5 natten\u201d, minns Roy i en intervju med Built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Utifr\u00e5n de h\u00e4r samtalen ins\u00e5g Roy och hans medentrepren\u00f6rer att projektledare och chefer i byggbranschen beh\u00f6ver en djupare f\u00f6rst\u00e5else av vad som h\u00e4nder p\u00e5 de byggarbetsplatser som de ansvarar f\u00f6r, och av hur saker ligger till i f\u00f6rh\u00e5llande till att uppn\u00e5 olika milstolpar i ett projekt. Det innebar en perfekt chans att till\u00e4mpa AI p\u00e5 projektledning i byggbranschen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De tre startade d\u00e4rf\u00f6r f\u00f6retaget Buildots 2018. I b\u00f6rjan av 2020 hade f\u00f6retaget anskaffat 16 miljoner US-dollar (ungef\u00e4r 140 miljoner kronor) i riskkapital f\u00f6r sin plattform f\u00f6r sp\u00e5rning av projektframdrift. Plattformen h\u00f6jer byggeffektiviteten genom att den h\u00e5ller koll p\u00e5 allt som h\u00e4nder p\u00e5 en byggarbetsplats fr\u00e5n installation av eluttag till montering av gipsplattor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Buildots vill inte namnge specifika kunder, men s\u00e4ger att de p\u00e5 sin kundlista har tv\u00e5 av de tio st\u00f6rsta byggf\u00f6retagen i Europa och det st\u00f6rsta byggf\u00f6retaget i Israel. Uppstartsf\u00f6retaget har ocks\u00e5 b\u00f6rjat arbeta med potentiella kunder p\u00e5 den amerikanska v\u00e4stkusten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dDet som h\u00e4nder p\u00e5 byggarbetsplatsen \u00e4r inte d\u00e4r det borde vara\u201d, s\u00e4ger Roy Danon. \u201dBranschen investerar s\u00e5 mycket i att g\u00f6ra upp bra planer, men man anv\u00e4nder fortfarande Excel-blad f\u00f6r att hantera schemal\u00e4ggningen.
