{"id":80759,"date":"2022-04-26T03:01:02","date_gmt":"2022-04-26T01:01:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.bluebeam.com\/se\/?p=80759"},"modified":"2022-04-26T09:51:38","modified_gmt":"2022-04-26T07:51:38","slug":"what-is-embodied-carbon-in-construction-and-how-can-it-be-reduced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.bluebeam.com\/se\/what-is-embodied-carbon-in-construction-and-how-can-it-be-reduced\/","title":{"rendered":"Vad \u00e4r inb\u00e4ddad koldioxid i byggbranschen och hur kan den minskas?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">Str\u00e4van efter att ta itu med klimatf\u00f6r\u00e4ndringarna genom att minska koldioxidutsl\u00e4ppen har f\u00e5tt byggbranschen att b\u00f6rja unders\u00f6ka hur man kan minska byggverksamhetens inverkan p\u00e5 milj\u00f6n.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det inneb\u00e4r bland annat att titta p\u00e5 vilka material man anv\u00e4nder f\u00f6r att leverera ett projekt, och p\u00e5 hur den f\u00e4rdiga byggnaden fungerar p\u00e5 daglig basis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Det talas mycket om hur \u201dh\u00e4lsosamma\u201d byggnader har blivit f\u00f6r sina inv\u00e5nare, och hur detta v\u00e4lbefinnande s\u00e4kerst\u00e4lls genom energieffektiv belysning, ventilation, uppv\u00e4rmning och kylning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arkitekter ber\u00e4ttar g\u00e4rna om sina designers milj\u00f6meriter och betonar h\u00e5llbarhetsegenskaper som har bekr\u00e4ftats genom ackrediteringstj\u00e4nster som <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breeam.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BREEAM<\/a>, som lanserades i Storbritannien av Building Research Establishment 1990, och det amerikanska betygssystemet f\u00f6r gr\u00f6na byggnader <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usgbc.org\/about\/brand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LEED<\/a>, som skapades i b\u00f6rjan av 1990-talet genom US Green Building Council.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Byggbranschens \u201dkoldioxidnota\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>H\u00e4lsa och v\u00e4lbefinnande \u00e4r viktiga faktorer f\u00f6r en byggnads boende, men den sammanlagda \u201dnotan\u201d f\u00f6r dess koldioxidutsl\u00e4pp kan inte skiljas fr\u00e5n debatten om sj\u00e4lva byggverksamhetens bidrag till utsl\u00e4ppen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De driftsm\u00e4ssiga koldioxidutsl\u00e4ppen \u2013 de som h\u00e4rstammar fr\u00e5n den energi som kr\u00e4vs f\u00f6r att skapa ett fungerande kontor eller hem \u2013 utg\u00f6r huvuddelen av utsl\u00e4ppen fr\u00e5n den byggda milj\u00f6n (omkring 28&nbsp;% av de totala utsl\u00e4ppen globalt). Enligt brittiska <a href=\"https:\/\/www.istructe.org\/IStructE\/media\/Public\/TSE-Archive\/2020\/A-brief-guide-to-calculating-embodied-carbon.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Institution of Structural Engineers<\/a> (ISE) m\u00e4ter man inb\u00e4ddad koldioxid genom att multiplicera kvantiteten av varje material eller produkt med en koldioxidfaktor, som normalt m\u00e4ts som ungef\u00e4rlig kg&nbsp;CO<sub>2<\/sub> per kg material, f\u00f6r varje livscykel \u2013 fr\u00e5n det inledande byggnadsarbetet till och med f\u00e4rdigst\u00e4llandet \u2013 som \u00f6verv\u00e4gs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Materialkvantiteterna kan ber\u00e4knas p\u00e5 olika s\u00e4tt beroende p\u00e5 vilket stadium i designprocessen man befinner sig i och vilka verktyg som \u00e4r tillg\u00e4ngliga f\u00f6r ingenj\u00f6ren, s\u00e4ger ISE. Om man vill utf\u00f6ra s\u00e5dana ber\u00e4kningar beh\u00f6ver man vara bekant med livscykelstadierna enligt tv\u00e5 standarder: BS EN 15978 (2011) och BS EN 15804 (2019), som anv\u00e4nds f\u00f6r att fastst\u00e4lla m\u00e4ngden koldioxid som sl\u00e4pps ut i de olika stadierna av ett materials eller en produkts livscykel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enligt ISE \u00e4r det viktigast att r\u00e4kna p\u00e5 den inb\u00e4ddade koldioxiden under de tidiga designstadierna. \u201dDet \u00e4r mycket viktigt att man har tid och m\u00f6jlighet att g\u00f6ra \u00e4ndringar n\u00e4r man har utf\u00f6rt sin bed\u00f6mning av inb\u00e4ddad koldioxid\u201d, till\u00e4gger de.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Minska den inb\u00e4ddade koldioxiden i byggbranschen<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Vad kan man g\u00f6ra f\u00f6r att minska byggnadernas inb\u00e4ddade koldioxid? American Institute of Architects (AIA) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aia.org\/articles\/70446-ten-steps-to-reducing-embodied-carbon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">f\u00f6resl\u00e5r tio metoder<\/a> som kan vara till hj\u00e4lp:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u00c5teranv\u00e4nd byggnader ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r att bygga nya. Enligt AIA kan renovering och \u00e5teranv\u00e4ndning spara mellan 50&nbsp;% och 75&nbsp;% av de inb\u00e4ddade koldioxidutsl\u00e4ppen j\u00e4mf\u00f6rt med att bygga en ny byggnad.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\"><li>Specificera betong med l\u00e5ga koldioxidutsl\u00e4pp.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\"><li>Begr\u00e4nsa anv\u00e4ndningen av koldioxidintensiva material som aluminium och plast.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\"><li>V\u00e4lj alternativ med l\u00e4gre koldioxidutsl\u00e4pp, till exempel tr\u00e4 ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r st\u00e5l.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\"><li>Anv\u00e4nd material som binder koldioxid, till exempel tr\u00e4 eller halm.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"6\"><li>\u00c5teranv\u00e4nd material n\u00e4r det \u00e4r m\u00f6jligt.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"7\"><li>Anv\u00e4nd material med en stor andel \u00e5tervunnet inneh\u00e5ll.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"8\"><li>Maximera byggnadseffektiviteten.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"9\"><li>Anv\u00e4nd f\u00e4rre ytmaterial \u2013 med smart design kan man f\u00e5 ett snyggt men \u00e4nd\u00e5 koldioxidsn\u00e5lt resultat.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"10\"><li>Minimera avfallet.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Str\u00e4van efter en framtid med nollutsl\u00e4pp av koldioxid<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Det finns mycket kvar att g\u00f6ra n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller att ta itu med utsl\u00e4ppen, i synnerhet de som orsakas av byggnadsmaterialens inb\u00e4ddade koldioxid. Byggbranschen m\u00e5ste bli mindre beroende av koldioxidintensiva material, och m\u00e5len \u00e4r tuffa. Men utan tuffa m\u00e5l blir inte mycket gjort.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senast 2030 vill WGBC att alla nya byggnader, all infrastruktur och alla renoveringar har minst 40&nbsp;% mindre inb\u00e4ddad koldioxid med en avsev\u00e4rd initial koldioxidminskning, och att alla nya byggnader har ett nettonollutsl\u00e4pp vid drift.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WGBC g\u00e5r \u00e4nnu l\u00e4ngre och s\u00e4ger att 2050 kommer nya byggnader, infrastruktur och renoveringar att ha nettonollutsl\u00e4pp av inb\u00e4ddad koldioxid, och alla byggnader \u2013 inklusive de befintliga \u2013 m\u00e5ste vid det laget ha nettonollutsl\u00e4pp vid drift.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Insatserna \u00e4r h\u00f6ga, men vinsterna \u00e4r betydande. Enligt UKGBC erbjuder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukgbc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/UK-GBC-EC-Developing-Client-Brief.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00e5tg\u00e4rdande av den inb\u00e4ddade koldioxiden<\/a> \u201den attraktiv eng\u00e5ngsm\u00f6jlighet att g\u00f6ra en betydande besparing p\u00e5 kortare tid\u201d.
