V2I-teknologins f\u00f6respr\u00e5kare menar att den m\u00f6jligg\u00f6r ett tr\u00e5dl\u00f6st utbyte av information mellan enskilda smarta fordon och v\u00e4ginfrastrukturen. Informationen skickas genom fiberoptik som f\u00f6rbinder de olika elementen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Information samlas in fr\u00e5n trafiksignaler, v\u00e4gskyltar, gatubelysning, skyltar, k\u00f6rf\u00e4ltsmarkeringar med mera. Data om trafikstockningar, v\u00e4derprognoser, byggzoner, tillg\u00e4ngliga parkeringsplatser, gatlyktor med mera kan ocks\u00e5 anv\u00e4ndas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c4ven om m\u00e5nga av de h\u00e4r f\u00f6rdelarna kan utnyttjas av f\u00f6rare redan idag, kommer de enligt V2I-teknologins f\u00f6respr\u00e5kare att vara helt avg\u00f6rande om sj\u00e4lvk\u00f6rande bilar blir vanliga i framtiden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00d6kad mobilitet<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>M\u00e5nga bilf\u00f6rare m\u00e5 \u00e4lska sin bil, men det viktigaste f\u00f6r de flesta bilister n\u00e4r de ska k\u00f6ra \u00e4r att ta sig fr\u00e5n punkt A till punkt B s\u00e5 snabbt och s\u00e4kert som m\u00f6jligt. Teknologin ger ocks\u00e5 st\u00f6rre mobilitet genom trafikljus f\u00f6rsedda med kameror och sensorer som k\u00e4nner av trafiken och synkroniserar sin timing genom att kommunicera med varandra. Genom att justera trafikljusens timing baserat p\u00e5 trafiken kan man g\u00f6ra s\u00e5 att bilarna slipper v\u00e4nta lika l\u00e4nge vid r\u00f6dljus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fordonen kommer ocks\u00e5 att kunna ta sig fram mer effektivt p\u00e5 v\u00e4garna, menar f\u00f6respr\u00e5karna f\u00f6r V2I, eftersom data om trafikstockningar kommer att vara tillg\u00e4ngliga. Med hj\u00e4lp av den h\u00e4r informationen kan f\u00f6raren v\u00e4lja den snabbaste v\u00e4gen. Det gynnar enskilda f\u00f6rare, som kan \u00e4gna minsta m\u00f6jliga tid \u00e5t att pendla, och minskar tr\u00e4ngseln p\u00e5 v\u00e4garna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Milj\u00f6f\u00f6rdelar<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Enligt USA:s energidepartement sl\u00f6sas mer \u00e4n 20 miljoner kubikmeter bensin och diesel bort varje \u00e5r f\u00f6r att fordon g\u00e5r p\u00e5 tomg\u00e5ng. D\u00e4rf\u00f6r letar transportmyndigheterna alltid efter s\u00e4tt att f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra fordonss\u00e4kerheten, och enligt experterna kan V2I bidra till det p\u00e5 flera s\u00e4tt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Olyckor intr\u00e4ffar ofta p\u00e5 grund av att en f\u00f6rare g\u00f6r n\u00e5got som andra bilister inte f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntar sig. F\u00f6ruts\u00e4gbarhet och konsekvens leder till st\u00f6rre s\u00e4kerhet. Exempelvis kan filbyten leda till olyckor. Markeringar p\u00e5 v\u00e4gen som kommunicerar med fordonen kan allts\u00e5 leda till att antalet olyckor minskar. Genom v\u00e4gmarkeringar och k\u00f6rf\u00e4ltsidentifiering kan man se till att ett fordon stannar kvar i sitt k\u00f6rf\u00e4lt ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r att glida \u2013 p\u00e5 grund av d\u00e5lig sikt eller att f\u00f6raren blir distraherad \u2013 in i andra k\u00f6rf\u00e4lt och potentiellt orsaka olyckor. Att byta fil \u00e4r s\u00e4krare n\u00e4r det finns tillr\u00e4ckligt med plats och andra bilister \u00e4r medvetna om r\u00f6relsen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M\u00e5nga olyckor intr\u00e4ffar p\u00e5 grund av att f\u00f6raren missar en skylt, men det problemet kan elimineras genom smarta skyltar som \u00e4r anslutna till V2I-teknologi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ta till exempel en stoppskylt. Om f\u00f6raren missar en stoppskylt kan fordonet krocka med ett annat, som hade f\u00f6retr\u00e4de. Den f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttrade l\u00e4sbarheten hj\u00e4lper f\u00f6rarna att reagera mer f\u00f6ruts\u00e4gbart och rimligt, och sj\u00e4lvk\u00f6rande fordon kan r\u00f6ra sig p\u00e5 ett l\u00e4mpligt s\u00e4tt som inte \u00f6verraskar andra fordon p\u00e5 v\u00e4gen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00f6respr\u00e5karna f\u00f6r V2I menar att \u00e4ven fotg\u00e4ngares och cyklisters s\u00e4kerhet kommer att kunna f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttras. En smart korsning kan k\u00e4nna av n\u00e4r n\u00e5gon \u00e4r p\u00e5 v\u00e4g genom den. Fordon som n\u00e4rmar sig korsningen varnas om att en fotg\u00e4ngare ska g\u00e5 \u00f6ver v\u00e4gen och reagerar p\u00e5 l\u00e4mpligt s\u00e4tt.
