Carbon Leadership Forum (CLL) har publicerat guiden <a href=\"https:\/\/carbonleadershipforum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/CLF-LCA-Practice-Guide_2019-05-23.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Life Cycle Assessments of Buildings: A Practice Guide<\/a>, d\u00e4r organisationen beskriver sin syn p\u00e5 saken genom en lista \u00f6ver fem stadier av en livscykelanalys och unders\u00f6ker hur leveransen och anv\u00e4ndningen av en byggnad kan p\u00e5verka milj\u00f6n. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rapporten identifierar f\u00f6rst ett \u201dproduktionsstadium\u201d, som omfattar den energi och de resurser som anv\u00e4nds f\u00f6r att utvinna r\u00e5varor, transportera material till anl\u00e4ggningen d\u00e4r produkterna tillverkas och producera de slutliga byggnadsmaterialen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dByggstadiet\u201d omfattar transporten av materialen till byggarbetsplatsen, den energi som g\u00e5r \u00e5t till att driva byggutrustningen och anskaffandet av extra material samt bortskaffandet av allt avfall som genereras under byggprocessen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dAnv\u00e4ndningsstadiet\u201d i en livcykelanalys ber\u00f6r hur anv\u00e4ndningen av en byggnad under dess livstid \u2013 belysning, uppv\u00e4rmning, vattenf\u00f6rbrukning och eventuellt material som anv\u00e4nds f\u00f6r underh\u00e5ll, reparationer och utbyten \u2013 p\u00e5verkar milj\u00f6n. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dSlutstadiet\u201d omfattar rivning och bortskaffande av byggnaden, liksom avfallshantering \u2013 om inte byggnaden \u00e5teranv\u00e4nds eller f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttras f\u00f6r ytterligare anv\u00e4ndning. Till sist finns n\u00e5got som CLL kallar \u201dde olika effekterna av att \u00e5teranv\u00e4nda, \u00e5tervinna och\/eller ta vara p\u00e5 material, energi och vatten fr\u00e5n projektet.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>F\u00f6rdelar och begr\u00e4nsningar med att utf\u00f6ra en livscykelanalys<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En livscykelanalys kan hj\u00e4lpa kunder, inv\u00e5nare och planeringsmyndigheter att fatta mer v\u00e4lgrundade beslut under design- och byggprocesserna. Den kan ocks\u00e5 fr\u00e4mja innovation genom att avsl\u00f6ja m\u00f6jligheter f\u00f6r tillverkare att f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra produktens effektivitet och kvalitet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enligt <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenbuildingsolutions.org\/life-cycle-assessment\/#:~:text=A%20Life%20Cycle%20Assessment%20(LCA,the%20design%20and%20building%20processes.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Green Building Solutions<\/a>, som \u00e4r en del av American Chemistry Council, kan entrepren\u00f6rer ta reda p\u00e5 hur man b\u00e4ttre kan f\u00f6rebygga eller l\u00f6sa milj\u00f6problem kopplade till projektledning och felaktig avfallshantering, samtidigt som fastighets\u00e4gare kan se hur h\u00e5llbara produkter p\u00e5 ett gynnsamt s\u00e4tt minskar milj\u00f6p\u00e5verkan under investeringens livstid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Livscykelanalysen av en byggnad har dock sina begr\u00e4nsningar. Milj\u00f6utbildaren <a href=\"https:\/\/www.envirotrain.co.uk\/module-c\/c5-life-cycle-analysis-lca\/c5-2benefits-of-lca\/c5-2-1limitations-of-lca#:~:text=An%20LCA%20process%20will%20usually,biodiversity%2C%20are%20difficult%20to%20quantify.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Envirotrain<\/a> menar att en livscykelanalys kanske inte \u00e4r tillr\u00e4ckligt omfattande f\u00f6r att ta h\u00e4nsyn till alla de sannolika milj\u00f6effekterna av en byggnad. Dessutom kan aspekter som biologisk m\u00e5ngfald vara sv\u00e5ra att kvantifiera. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00f6r det andra finns det inte en enda accepterad metod f\u00f6r livscykelanalys. I vissa studier v\u00e4ljer man att fokusera p\u00e5 enskilda stadier av de olika processerna \u2013 utvinning, leverans, byggande och livsl\u00e4ngd \u2013 snarare \u00e4n den totala livsl\u00e4ngden f\u00f6r ett projekt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dessutom menar Envirotrain att somliga antaganden om den troliga effekten av vissa material eller processer kan vara subjektiva, och att kvaliteten p\u00e5 data kan vara tveksam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Finns det nationella riktlinjer f\u00f6r livscykelanalyser?<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Med s\u00e5dana varningar i \u00e5tanke, hur kan man d\u00e5 k\u00e4nna sig s\u00e4ker p\u00e5 att en livscykelanalys \u00e4r anv\u00e4ndbar f\u00f6r ett visst projekt? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I Storbritannien har <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rics.org\/profession-standards\/rics-standards-and-guidance\/sector-standards\/construction-standards\/whole-life-carbon-assessment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors<\/a> (RICS) publicerat en standard f\u00f6r bed\u00f6mning av WLCA (Whole Life Carbon Assessment) som \u201dbeskriver en RICS-godk\u00e4nd teknisk metod f\u00f6r bed\u00f6mning av koldioxidp\u00e5verkan fr\u00e5n byggnader och relaterade infrastrukturtillg\u00e5ngar\/anl\u00e4ggningsarbeten under hela byggnadens livscykel\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vissa framh\u00e4ver att inb\u00e4ddad koldioxid \u2013 den koldioxid som finns inb\u00e4ddad i en byggnads material \u2013 inte granskas i tillr\u00e4ckligt stor utstr\u00e4ckning. Enligt brittiska Green Building Councils (UKGBC) Net Zero Whole Life Carbon Roadmap har \u201den exakt och konsekvent m\u00e4tning och redovisning av inb\u00e4ddad koldioxid blivit allt viktigare f\u00f6r att s\u00e4kerst\u00e4lla meningsfulla och trov\u00e4rdiga framsteg mot netto noll-m\u00e5let f\u00f6r koldioxid\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enligt UKGBC \u00e4r det viktigt att inb\u00e4ddad koldioxid \u201dsnabbt g\u00e5r fr\u00e5n att vara en utmaning som endast hanteras av ledande organisationer till en som tacklas av intressenter inom hela den byggda milj\u00f6n\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I Kanada har landets nationella forskningsr\u00e5d (National Research Council eller NRC) tagit fram en serie riktlinjer f\u00f6r livscykelanalys av hela byggnader (wbLCA). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enligt NRC \u00e4r syftet med <a href=\"https:\/\/nrc-publications.canada.ca\/eng\/view\/object\/?id=f7bd265d-cc3d-4848-a666-8eeb1fbde910\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">riktlinjerna<\/a> \u00e4r att \u201dinstruera ut\u00f6vare av wbLCA i hur man s\u00e4kerst\u00e4ller resultatens kvalitet och j\u00e4mf\u00f6rbarhet, m\u00f6jligg\u00f6ra ber\u00e4kning av tillf\u00f6rlitliga baslinjer eller riktm\u00e4rken, fr\u00e4mja de LCA-baserade efterlevnadssystemen i gr\u00f6na byggprogram och -policyer samt hj\u00e4lpa till med utveckling och anv\u00e4ndning av wbLCA-programvara\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Hj\u00e4lper yrkesverksamma i byggbranschen att g\u00f6ra mer v\u00e4lgrundade val<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c4ven om livscykelanalyser inte \u00e4r perfekta kommer de att spela en allt viktigare roll n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller att skapa en byggd milj\u00f6 som p\u00e5verkar omgivningen mindre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I USA <a href=\"https:\/\/carbonleadershipforum.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/CLF-LCA-Practice-Guide_2019-05-23.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">menar<\/a> Carbon Leadership Forum att livscykelanalyser kan hj\u00e4lpa designers och fastighets\u00e4gare att g\u00f6ra v\u00e4lgrundade val kring h\u00e5llbarhet och motst\u00e5ndskraft f\u00f6r olika material och designalternativ. De kan ocks\u00e5 hj\u00e4lpa till med att uppn\u00e5 en gr\u00f6n certifiering f\u00f6r en byggnad och utv\u00e4rdera en byggnads prestanda genom j\u00e4mf\u00f6relse med etablerade riktm\u00e4rken. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vissa kritiker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S0360132303000313\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">p\u00e5pekar<\/a> att livscykelanalysen ofta missar saker som sammanhang \u2013 geografiskt l\u00e4ge osv. \u2013 och att en byggnad b\u00f6r konkurrera med sig sj\u00e4lv f\u00f6r att uppn\u00e5 de b\u00e4sta l\u00f6sningarna i varje given situation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Men med tanke p\u00e5 hur viktigt det \u00e4r att minska koldioxidutsl\u00e4ppen finns livscykelanalysen definitivt med p\u00e5 kartan \u00f6ver byggbranschens framtid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gr\u00f6na certifieringsprogram som LEED och BREAM f\u00e5r ett allt st\u00f6rre inflytande och blir allt viktigare, vilket visar hur allvarligt branschen och dess kundbas ser p\u00e5 fr\u00e5gan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trots vissa brister erbjuder livscykelanalyser en meningsfull metod f\u00f6r att bed\u00f6ma en byggnads inverkan p\u00e5 omgivningen.
