Den andra \u00e4r den sociala verkligheten med klimat\u00e5ngest, \u201ds\u00e4rskilt bland yngre generationer som tror att m\u00e4nskligheten \u00e4r d\u00f6dsd\u00f6md p\u00e5 grund av klimatf\u00f6r\u00e4ndringarna.\u201d F\u00f6r det tredje handlar det om investerarnas efterfr\u00e5gan som g\u00f6r ESG- och klimatteknologi till den snabbast v\u00e4xande andelen av riskkapital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>ESG bygger till stor del p\u00e5 de principer som f\u00f6retag redan f\u00f6ljer f\u00f6r att hantera milj\u00f6- och samh\u00e4llsrisker och arbeta etiskt. L\u00e5ngivare kr\u00e4ver i st\u00f6rre utstr\u00e4ckning \u00e4n n\u00e5gonsin ESG-strategier och fullst\u00e4ndiga rapporter n\u00e4r f\u00f6retag s\u00f6ker finansiering. I mars 2024 antog SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) dessutom regler som kr\u00e4ver redovisning av klimatrelaterade risker som p\u00e5verkar aff\u00e4rsstrategi, operativa resultat eller finanser i rapporter till SEC fr\u00e5n och med slutet av 2025. Dessutom f\u00f6redrar intressenter och aktie\u00e4gare ofta f\u00f6retag med starka ESG-resultat, vilket kan underl\u00e4tta intr\u00e4de p\u00e5 nya marknader och nya m\u00f6jligheter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I den h\u00e4r artikeln tittar vi n\u00e4rmare p\u00e5 f\u00f6rdelarna med ESG-rapportering f\u00f6r alla byggf\u00f6retag och tillverkare \u2013 inte bara de som \u00e4r b\u00f6rsnoterade \u2013 tillsammans med de nya SEC- och EU-reglerna, v\u00e4sentliga m\u00e4tv\u00e4rden f\u00f6r ESG och en f\u00e4rdplan f\u00f6r att komma ig\u00e5ng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>F\u00f6rdelarna med att anta ESG<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>ESG skapar v\u00e4rde p\u00e5 olika s\u00e4tt, fr\u00e5n enklare uppl\u00e5ning till att skapa en positiv arbetskultur:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Effektiviserad tillg\u00e5ng till kapital<\/strong>: ESG-rapportering visar p\u00e5 ett engagemang f\u00f6r milj\u00f6m\u00e4ssigt och socialt ansvar, vilket kan leda till b\u00e4ttre villkor n\u00e4r man s\u00e4krar finansiering. \u201dInvesterarnas efterfr\u00e5gan och st\u00f6rre tillg\u00e5ng till kapital kan driva p\u00e5 byggf\u00f6retagens arbete med ESG, medan tillverkarna ofta ser ett st\u00f6rre engagemang f\u00f6r h\u00e5llbarhet och ESG p\u00e5 lednings- och styrelseniv\u00e5\u201d, s\u00e4ger Sara.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Minimerade operativa risker<\/strong>: Byggf\u00f6retag kan skydda sina finansiella resultat och sitt anseende genom att identifiera och d\u00e4mpa risker innan de blir allm\u00e4nt k\u00e4nda, samt inf\u00f6ra effektiva riskhanteringssystem och starka interna kontroller.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>F\u00f6rb\u00e4ttrad operativ effektivitet och l\u00e4gre kostnader<\/strong>: Att agera p\u00e5 ett h\u00e5llbart s\u00e4tt kan minska driftskostnaderna och \u00f6ka vinsten med upp till 60%, enligt <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/~\/media\/McKinsey\/Business%20Functions\/Strategy%20and%20Corporate%20Finance\/Our%20Insights\/Five%20ways%20that%20ESG%20creates%20value\/Five-ways-that-ESG-creates-value.ashx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">McKinsey<\/a>. Energieffektiv utrustning och teknik kan till exempel s\u00e4nka elkostnaderna, medan <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.bluebeam.com\/se\/circular-economy-in-construction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cirkul\u00e4ra designprinciper<\/a> hj\u00e4lper till att minska avfall.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u00d6kat konsumentf\u00f6rtroende och f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttrat varum\u00e4rkesanseende<\/strong>: Konsumenter anv\u00e4nder sin k\u00f6pkraft f\u00f6r att driva p\u00e5 f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar mot en h\u00e5llbar framtid. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/~\/media\/McKinsey\/Business%20Functions\/Strategy%20and%20Corporate%20Finance\/Our%20Insights\/Five%20ways%20that%20ESG%20creates%20value\/Five-ways-that-ESG-creates-value.ashx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">McKinseys<\/a> unders\u00f6kning visade att mer \u00e4n 70% av de konsumenter som tillfr\u00e5gats om ink\u00f6p i flera branscher, inklusive byggbranschen, uppgav att de skulle betala ytterligare 5% f\u00f6r en milj\u00f6v\u00e4nlig produkt om den uppfyllde samma prestandakrav som ett alternativ som inte var milj\u00f6anpassat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>F\u00f6rb\u00e4ttrad rekrytering och bibeh\u00e5llande av kompetens<\/strong>: Den sociala komponenten i ESG uppmuntrar till en inkluderande och s\u00e4ker arbetsmilj\u00f6, d\u00e4r potentiella medarbetare \u2013 s\u00e4rskilt den yngre delen av befolkningen \u2013 vill arbeta och befintliga medarbetare vill stanna kvar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00d6verg\u00e5ng fr\u00e5n SEC-regler till EU-anpassning<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ett v\u00e4xande antal byggf\u00f6retag anammar ESG-metoder, upphandlar klimatkompensation och f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttrar transparensen och styrkan i sina h\u00e5llbarhets\u00e5taganden, skriver Victoria Muharsky i en artikel f\u00f6r <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenbuildermedia.com\/blog\/sec-issues-final-rules-for-climate-related-disclosures-adopted\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Green Builder Media<\/a>. Faktum \u00e4r att majoriteten av de nationella husbyggarna rapporterar ESG-relaterade m\u00e4tv\u00e4rden, oavsett ben\u00e4mning, \u00e4ven om sm\u00e5 f\u00f6retag sl\u00e4par efter n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller inf\u00f6randet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00e4r SEC:s regler f\u00f6r klimatrelaterad information antogs i mars 2024 signalerade det investerares \u00f6kade efterfr\u00e5gan p\u00e5 h\u00e5llbarhet i f\u00f6retagen. SEC kr\u00e4ver rapportering av Scope 1- och 2-utsl\u00e4pp \u2013 direkta utsl\u00e4pp fr\u00e5n k\u00e4llor som f\u00f6retagen \u00e4ger eller kontrollerar och indirekta utsl\u00e4pp fr\u00e5n den energiproduktion som de k\u00f6per. F\u00f6retag med 75 miljoner eller fler b\u00f6rsnoterade aktier m\u00e5ste uppfylla \u00e4nnu str\u00e4ngare krav, inklusive att redovisa kostnader f\u00f6r sv\u00e5ra v\u00e4derh\u00e4ndelser och andra naturkatastrofer samt faktiska och potentiella v\u00e4sentliga effekter av klimatrelaterade risker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>USA f\u00f6ljer ofta EU:s regelverk \u2013 l\u00e5ngsamt. Senast har EU:s<a href=\"https:\/\/go.trellis.net\/MjExLU5KWS0xNjUAAAGVW-Hrg7kClVFNKE_T0zKqdtyyWZvP8Mi_57kHLTni5edc4QjC5LbTIQfuHJUeHrWL8yw0lV8=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">direktiv om f\u00f6retags h\u00e5llbarhetsrapportering<\/a> (CSRD)inf\u00f6rt <a href=\"https:\/\/go.trellis.net\/MjExLU5KWS0xNjUAAAGVW-Hrg8XVIxX-xLgBIjZl3EGphs8vMJGapRMEZRK5kyr6cBokNmuBmGEHM3QmBhjYn4jKkr4=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">krav p\u00e5 redovisning fr\u00e5n och med 2025<\/a>f\u00f6r r\u00e4kenskaps\u00e5ret 2024. Med tiden kommer SEC sannolikt att anpassa sig till dessa krav.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ESG-drivkrafter och m\u00e4tv\u00e4rden f\u00f6r byggande<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Att fastst\u00e4lla de mest angel\u00e4gna riskerna och m\u00f6jligheterna med ESG b\u00f6rjar vanligtvis med en internrevision samt benchmarking mot j\u00e4mf\u00f6rbara f\u00f6retag. H\u00e4r \u00e4r de m\u00e4tv\u00e4rden som enligt Sara oftast rapporteras av f\u00f6retag inom byggsektorn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Milj\u00f6fr\u00e5gor<\/strong>: energieffektivitet, utsl\u00e4pp av v\u00e4xthusgaser, val av plats, hantering av leveranskedjan och vattenhantering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sociala fr\u00e5gor<\/strong>: Medarbetares lojalitet och n\u00f6jdhet, initiativ f\u00f6r m\u00e5ngfald, j\u00e4mlikhet och inkludering samt principer f\u00f6r universell utformning av tillg\u00e4ngliga bost\u00e4der.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bolagsstyrning<\/strong>: Styrelsers sammans\u00e4ttning och tillsyn, hantering av milj\u00f6, h\u00e4lsa och s\u00e4kerhet, riskhantering, etisk kod, uppf\u00f6randekod f\u00f6r leverant\u00f6rer och aktie\u00e4garavtal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>V\u00e4lja v\u00e4gen fram\u00e5t<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>En enda titt p\u00e5 alla bokst\u00e4ver n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller ESG och olika organisationer, ramverk och f\u00f6rkortningar kan stoppa ett f\u00f6retag oavsett hur goda avsikter de \u00e4n har.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vad s\u00e4gs till exempel om TCFD (Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures) och SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board), tv\u00e5 av de mest k\u00e4nda redovisningsstandarderna, som nyligen konsoliderades i International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Sustainability Disclosure Standards from the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Om det inte \u00e4r tillr\u00e4ckligt r\u00f6rigt \u00e4nnu kan vi l\u00e4gga till GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) och FN:s SDG (globala h\u00e5llbarhetsm\u00e5l).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00f6r att ta sig igenom denna labyrint hj\u00e4lper det att f\u00f6lja riktlinjer som utvecklats speciellt f\u00f6r byggsektorn.
