To celebrate environmental sustainability, Bluebeam decided for the second year in a row to put together an infographic showing how use of Bluebeam Studio helped promote a more sustainable construction industry.

In 2020, Bluebeam helped the construction industry digitize documents totaling …

… 80 million

Creating this many documents digitally instead of using paper saves roughly 4.5 million kilowatt-hours of energy, or 2.3 million pounds of greenhouse gases.

80 million pieces of paper is equal to about 800,000 pounds, the weight of a pod of humpback whales.

That many sheets of paper would cost around $800,000, which could buy roughly 2,000 tablet computers for construction workers to use on a jobsite.

80 million pieces of paper, when laid end to end, would stretch into the distance for roughly 12,000 miles, about the length of the Pacific Ocean.

See how these numbers compare to last year.
